The note and rest symbols in the editor use glyph outlines from this font (the font file itself is not bundled).

The preview sounds (piano, guitars, bass, etc.) in the corrector, MML editor and board. Your browser fetches the per-note files split by midi-js-soundfonts (MIT) and plays them; this service does not modify or redistribute the sound files.
3. Windows local app (ScoreToMML Local Launcher)
Open-source components bundled inside the Windows installer (0.4.0 and later). Versions are the ones actually baked into the build (requirements-desktop.lock).
- PyInstaller packages the program into an exe. Its bootloader is included in the exe; under PyInstaller's "Bootloader Exception" the GPL does not extend to the packaged program.
- pypdfium2 (the part that turns PDF pages into images) is a Python binding for Google's PDF engine PDFium (BSD-3-Clause), licensed BSD-3-Clause / Apache-2.0. The bundled PDFium binary (pdfium-binaries, MIT) includes FreeType (FTL), libjpeg-turbo (IJG/BSD), OpenJPEG (BSD-2), libpng, libtiff, zlib, Little-CMS (MIT), ICU (Unicode) and Abseil (Apache-2.0). No AGPL component is included in the installer.
4. Programs the local app installs or uses on your PC
- Audiveris — see section 1. The local app installs it with winget and runs it as a separate process (it is not part of the installer).
- Java runtime — Microsoft Build of OpenJDK (required by Audiveris), GPL v2 with Classpath Exception. Installed with winget.
- Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime — the Windows component that renders the app window. The app uses the runtime already present on Windows (Microsoft software license terms); it is not bundled or redistributed. If it is missing, the app opens in your default browser instead.
- waifu2x-ncnn-vulkan (optional) — used for score upscaling only if you installed it yourself. MIT.
- Mabinogi soundbank (optional) — the gayageum sound is played by reading the Mabinogi soundbank files (
MSXspirit*.dls) installed on your own PC. Those files are copyrighted by Nexon; this service does not distribute or redistribute them and does not bundle them in the installer. The feature works only when Mabinogi is installed on your PC. The code that reads them (a DLS parser) was written by sheet2mml.com.
